Psycho-1960-Alfred Hitchcock
1.There are birds in several places in this movie, the hotel office, and the hotel room, etc. In the hotel office where they had their sandwiches, Norman said that Marion "eats like a bird". This secretly referring her as a songbird also a prey/victim of the predators (Norman as a hawk).
In addition, when Norman was pretending to have a conversation with his mom in his house he stated "But she's harmless, she's as harmless as one of those stuffed birds". Again, he referred Marion as harmless songbirds.
2.Examples of a "shot" more than a thousand words is the bathroom scene in the hotel. At first, it showed Norman peeking Marion's room through the office. Then, after Marion went to shower, it showed a black figure with a knife in his hand. The audience could guess that Marion is going to be dead by showing this. Then, we could see Marion's terrified face with the sound of the knife stabbing into her. This part was all without dialogue.
3. In the way of how spooky Pshyco is, it is definitely not a normal horror film. It has the element of birds and predators and double personalities in this movie that give creeps to the audiences. Yet, the scene of the crimes in the bathroom and in Norman's mansion startles the viewer just like a typical horror film.
4. Personally, i found Psycho very suspenseful.
